As a Live-in Care Support Worker (Residential Care) at Dovida, you temporarily live with a client and provide personal care, companionship, and practical support, enabling them to continue living in their own familiar home environment.

With your dedication, respect, and personal attention, you bring peace of mind—not only to the client, but also to their family.

What will you do?

You are an essential link in personal care, household support, and companionship. With your empathetic approach and practical skills, you consistently connect with seniors who are dealing with the vulnerabilities of aging or dementia. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with the national expert team. This close cooperation ensures that your care aligns perfectly with the individual care plan and meets the highest quality standards. Thanks to this multidisciplinary approach, you are supported by a strong network that is available to you 24/7.

Key responsibilities

  • Living and working in the client’s home for an agreed period

  • Personal care: Assisting with daily activities such as eating, getting in and out of bed, dressing and undressing, and showering

  • Companionship & structure: Offering companionship, engaging in conversation, and providing daily rhythm and structure

  • Household tasks: Light housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, washing and ironing

  • Guidance & transportation: Accompanying clients to appointments (hairdresser, doctor), assisting with grocery shopping, and taking walks together

  • Meal preparation: Preparing meals that match the client’s wishes and needs

  • Administration & communication: Keeping digital notes, approving worked hours weekly, and reporting any special circumstances to the national expert team

With your empathetic nature and hands-on mindset, you easily build contact and trust. You stay informed about developments in care and are willing to continuously develop yourself.

Your flexibility

  • Willingness to live in clients’ homes for agreed periods

  • Flexible availability for consecutive weeks and weekends, in line with the CAO VVT

Your talents, knowledge, and experience

  • Friendly and helpful towards clients and their families

  • Flexible and adaptable in different living environments

  • Reliable, punctual, and acting with integrity

  • Strong problem-solving skills and perseverance

  • Organized and hygienic working style, with respect for personal belongings

  • Sufficient physical condition to perform care and household tasks

  • Good command of the Dutch language for daily communication

  • Willing to follow internal training programs

  • Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required—we are happy to train you
